In a world where actors are born and disappear in the same day there are some who stayed etched in the memory of the audiences for their sheer presence, talent and the unique ability to strike a chord. Simultaneously reserved yet bubbling with passion for cinema is the young actor Dr. Sethu.
After a stellar outing with "Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya" the trained doctor is treading the fine line between passion and duty. He says "I consider myself incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to contribute to the holistic happiness of people, one by entertaining them and the other by helping build confidence through my medical practice".
He continues, "as a young child growing up in Tamilnadu at many of life crucial junctures in my life I have looked up to and learned from icons like MGR, Sivaji, Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan and one thing that has remained with me is the responsibility that these greats have towards the people. Thus, my medical education combined with my overwhelming love for cinema helps me balance my responsibility as an entertainer and adding smiles through my cosmetology expertise."
Building on his rapport with Santhanam, Dr. Sethu once again teams with the rib tickling Santhanam and Visaka Singh in "Vaaliba Raja". Dr. Sethu says "while there is a lot speculation about me quitting movies I would like to say that in a place like India where multitasking is the mantra. I believe my sincere passion and with the love from the Tamil audience, I will be able to be a part of good cinema in more ways than one. As a cosmetologist my focus will never interfere in my drive for cinema and I can assure you that looking good has a lot to do with feeling good too. Hence the perfect marriage of medicine and movies.
"Vaaliba Raja" - The movie which is an outright entertainer also subtly portrays the trust and bond between a doctor and a patient. "I wish to establish a strong bond with my movie audiences and those that believe that I can enhance their lives also through my medical practice".
